New Skype

Mesoamerica Institute is holding online classes
using Skype, a free internet phone service that works like Yahoo
and MSN Live Messengers, where people can meet and talk online.
Online students can exchange files with the instructor in real
time and see our lessons at the same time when needed. This will
be ideal and convenient for everybody in the greater bay area!.
At Mesoamerica we use Skype software because its audio (voice/sound)
quality is a lot better than others which makes online learning
more effective. We offer private classes at $30 hour, with
the first class free. Sessions are organized in a 10 week
basis.

Note: To help determine your appropriate class
level, refer to the following descriptions. If you are uncertain
about your level, MESOAMERICA INSTITUTE offers a free test by
appointment.
Beginning:
You have never studied Spanish.
Fast Beginning students have a minimal understanding
of Spanish.
Advanced Beginning:
You have studied Spanish for
one or two semesters or the equivalent, or have used basic
"survival" Spanish while traveling in Spanish speaking
countries. You have a sense of
how Spanish works and know loose words and verbs. Classes start
with the past tense.
Intermediate:
You are ready to move beyond the ''survival " to the colloquial
and idiomatic Spanish.
Classes cover future and conditional tenses, the command forms
and some of the
subjunctive tenses, thus building conversational fluency.
Advanced Intermediate:
You have already used Spanish in
any kind of situation, but need to
refine and diversify your speaking skills. Classes cover the subjunctive
tenses,
combinations of all tenses, pronunciation, vocabulary for colloquial
Spanish, etc.
Advanced:
You are fluent in Spanish but want
to use Spanish at a high colloquial and/or
technical level. The language is analyzed, idiomatic usage is
deepened and bad language
habits are corrected.
